Monsanto Fund 1890 Student Scholarship

The Monsanto Fund 1890 Student Scholarship is a part of Monsanto’s broader focus on innovation and investment in agriculture. Investing in future leaders pursuing STEM careers in food and agriculture is key to meeting the challenges the world faces in feeding nine billion people by 2050. Monsanto will award 10 (ten) $10,000 scholarships to selected undergraduate students annually.

Requirements:

· U.S. citizen or legal resident and a racial/ethnic minorities or female student

· Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with an emphasis in STEM at an 1890 land grant university in the U.S.

· In good standing, demonstrating academic excellence

· Minimum 3.0 GPA

· Three letters of reference

The Monsanto Graduate Student Scholarship

The Monsanto Graduate Student Scholarship is part of Monsanto’s broader focus on innovation and investment in agriculture. Investing in future leaders pursuing STEM careers in food and agriculture is key to meeting the challenges the world faces in feeding nine billion people by 2050. Monsanto will award 10 (ten) $25,000 scholarships to selected students pursuing a graduate degree.

Requirements:

U.S. citizen or legal resident

High achieving minority or female student pursuing a Master’s degree in agriculture or STEM related fields (all racial/ethnic minorities and women considered)

· In good standing, demonstrating academic excellence

· Minimum 3.0 GPA

· PhD students not eligible

Monsanto STEM Fellowship

The establishment of Monsanto’s STEM Fellowship is part of Monsanto’s investment in agriculture to help increase global food production in the face of growing demands, limited natural resources and a changing climate. Monsanto has made a $1 million commitment over three years to support high achieving racial/ethnic minority and female students pursuing a PhD degree in agriculture or STEM related discipline.

Requirements:

· U.S. citizen or legal resident

· Completed a Master’s degree

· Enrolled or accepted in an agriculture or STEM related PhD program, meeting all entrance requirements

· Advised by a professor at the university where the degree will be awarded

· High achieving minority or female student pursuing a PhD in agriculture or STEM related fields (all racial ethnic minorities and women considered)

· In good standing, demonstrating academic excellence

· Minimum 3.0 GPA

When applying for the scholarship, applicants are required to submit the following:

· Application form

· Resume or CV

· College transcript

· Three letters of reference

· A letter of commitment from the applicant that he/she expects to work in the public sector after completion of their doctoral studies
